A Charles II ivory and silver piqué tobacco box, probably late 17th or early 18th century
of oval form, the cover inset with a ruby-coloured cabochon amidst mulitiple interlaced scrolling foliate borders, the interior lid decorated with an oil painted allegorical scene of Father Time kneeling over a voluptuous female -- 4in. (10.1cm.) wide
