Han Dynasty and later
of tapering and slightly curved form, carved in shallow relief with taotie masks, the reverse with incised calligraphy -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) long; three further mottled jade axe-heads, one with incised taotie masks -- 5½in. (13.9cm.) max. long; a rectangular shaped celadon and black jade scroll weight -- 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) long; a celadon jade sewing implement of slender tapering form -- 5 7/8in. (15cm.) long; and a mottled pale jade pistol-handled dagger carved with scrolling lotus -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) long, (minor nicks).
