A Hu Wenming parcel-gilt bronze bombe censer
circa 1600
with two mask-headed loop handles, cast around the central section with a band of Buddhistic emblems between bands of scrolling foliage to the foot and neck, incised Hu Wenming four-character mark to underside -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) wide, (rubbing to gilt).
