A famille rose, yellow-ground scraffiato bowl
Daoguang
painted and gilt to the exterior with roundels of peony and chrysanthemum sprays on a ground of fruiting peach branches tied with ribbons above foaming waves, the interior similarly decorated in underglaze blue and white -- 5¾in. (14.5cms) diam, Daoguang seal mark and of the period.

Purchased by a descendant of the present owner from Yamanaka & Co. Kyoto, Japan in 1910.
