A painted pottery group of an ox and cart
Six/Sui Dynastes, 6th century
the ox standing four square without a base, the head tilted upwards, applied with decorative harness and trappings, the cart of square section with gate front separating a lower compartment, the wheels with blind spokes and large knop hubs, traces of red and black pigments remaining -- 16½in. (42cms) long, (some restoration).
