Lots 27 to 28: Wine Society bottled. Plain wax capsules, bin-soiled labels. Levels: into neck
In the mid-1990s, lovely, distinctive, very sweet. Equal top marks, Oporto-bottled, at Gidleigh Park, still with leathery tannins. Coping miraculously at a Zachys Christies charity dinner with chocolate souffli. And so on. A well-balanced wine needing more time! MB
