GERSON, Jean. Prima pars operu [bound after] Inuetariu eoru que in operibus Gersonis cotinentur, Strassburg: [Johann Gruninger with the types of Johann Pruss and Martin Flach], 10 September, 1488. 2 parts (of 4) in one volume. 2° (284 x 204mm). 230 leaves including the final blank and 50 leaves, 53 lines and headline, double column, gothic letter, initials supplied in red, full-page woodcut of the pilgrim and his dog in front of a castle on verso of both titles. (Some worming in the last third of the book affects text very slightly, repaired worming in the upper inner corners of the first half of the book, upper margins water stained throughout). 17th-century German blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards with clasps, red edges. Provenance: Carthusian House of Pruel, near Regensburg (supra-libros and ownership inscription in inner margin of a2r).
