(Worming in the text from the beginning as far as a4 and from G6 to the end of the second work, some worming in the margins, upper margins slightly dampstained throughout). Contemporary South German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards with metal clasps, central compartment with a large stylised tool surrounded by 2 borders, the inner one made up of a roll of floral tools with, at head and foot, an eagle tool in a roundel, the latter decoration interspersed with a Maria scroll making up the outer border, bevelled edges (slightly wormed and discoloured). Provenance: some contemporary marginalia in both works. FIRST EDITIONS of these two legal works by the professor of theology at the University of Tubingen. The first deals mostly with buying and selling and there is a long section on usury. The first work contains 8 leaves in quire e unlike BMC which calls only for 6.
