OVID (43 BC - ?17 AD). Fastorum. Libri VI. De Tristibus. Libri V. De Ponto. Libri IIII, Venice: Aldus, 1502-3. 2 parts in one volume. Small 8° (147 x 90mm.). Woodcut Aldine device on title and at end of each part. (A few very faint spots on title, some very light browning towards the end). Finely-bound in 18th/early 19th-century black straight-grained morocco, the covers with a gilt roll-tool foliate border, spine elaborately decorated in gilt with 3 small circular red morocco onlays, g.e., pink watered-silk liners.
