An early 19th-Century British mahogany domestic medicine chest,
with an ivory inlaid maker's plaque Savory & Moore Chemists to the Queen, 136, New Bond Street, & 220, Regents Street, London, with two hinged panels, one opening to reveal a compartment sub-divided to contain seven bottles (one missing) and the other revealing a compartment subdivided to contain five bottles (one missing), with one draw with two inset drawer handles, plush-lined and compartmentalised to contain an apothecary balance and weights, a spatula signed Allcard & Co with ebony handle, a mortar and pestle and two pill pots; the case with inset carrying handle inscribed The Lady Blantyre and two escutcheons and key -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) high
