Male and female sterilisation

Details
Male and female sterilisation
The male model shows the position of the testicle and its blood supply: 1. A testicle, displaying the maturity gland. 2. The head of the epididymis. 3. The seminal duct, within the dissected seminal cord (4), accompanied by a thin thread, the testicular nerve, and a large number of blood vessels. The seminal duct leads underneath the bladder (6) to the seminal vesicles, which empty their contents at the appropriate moment into the urethra. A piece of the caecum (8) can be seen through the omentum. The peritoneum has been removed, but a part of it remains in the middle (9). The seminal duct (3) has been tied twice and severed just after the epididymis.

The female model shows the internal genital organs in their natural positions in the pelvis. The abdominal wall has been lifted back and the entrails removed. The whole abdominal cavity is still lined by the peritoneum, which covers all of the following organs: 1. The ovaries, the location of the maturity gland. 2. The fallopian tubes. 3. The uterus. 4. The bladder. 5. The truncated rectum. 6. The aorta. 7. The inferior vena cava. 8. The ureter, which leads from the kidney to the bladder. 9. The blood vessels that supply the uterus.

Lot Essay

LS: Following the surgery performed by Dr Lichtenstein in Vienna all ailments caused by ageing were reduced. Asphyxiation was cured; dizziness was no longer a problem. Memory loss problems were rectified, patients gained weight. Hair starts growing so rapidly that the rejuvenated patients have to go to the hairdressers far more frequently than before the operation.

In the case of this prematurely aged (male) worker, a weight gain of 12 kilos could be observed within a year; his wrinkles were smoothed, and his muscular power increased dramatically, so that he could soon easily carry 100 kilos on his back. Before surgery, he was not able to perform any physical tasks and every little movement made him feel exhausted.

In all cases, the rejuvenated experience a reignition of their sexual desires. The operation has not, however, effected lasting improvements.

In women, special surgical treatments of the maturity gland have not been tested (the severing of the fallopian tubes (2) attempted in rats was a failure). Such operations are obviously far more complicated than in the male case. Female sterilization is achieved by excising a small piece of each fallopian tube.
