A fine late 18th-Century orrery,
unsigned, with 1-inch (2.5cm.) diameter brass sunball and six planet arms with ivory balls for Mercury, Venus, Earth with the moon, Mars, Jupiter with four moons, Saturn with rings and five moons (Mercury and Mars early replacements, the white glass moons possibly later) unscrewing from the (possibly later) turned and ebonised wooden base to be sorted in a fitted mahogany case with two brass hooks and eyes -- 7¾in. (19.6cm.) wide
