unsigned, with silvered compass with two degree scales, a decoratively engraved wind rose, eight compass points, blued-iron needle incoporating an S at one end and an N at the other, with jewelled cap and glazed coverb and brass cap, mounted with two alidade arms with vernier scales -- 12 7/8in. (32.7cm.) wide; a drawing set by Stanley, with one tray of signed ivory and electrum instruments, the compartment beneath with various rules, the plush-lined lid with gilt maker's stamp, in a wooden case -- 14½in. (36.8cm.) wide; a boxed set of railway curves; various other drawing instruments and rules, some cased; a good Overbeck's Rejuvenator electrical massager in leatherette case; and a miliatary-pattern leather-bound black enamelled sighting telescope by E.
