A late 18th-Century brass simple microscope,
unsigned, the objective mount arranged to swivel from horizontal to vertical mounting on top of a vertical brass column, the forceps/probe on a mount to slide up and down the column and arranged to swivel through 180° to present either end to the objective, and to slide back and forth within the mounting to adjust the position of the specimen, on a simple turned brass base -- 4in. (10.1cm.) high
