A fine and detailed 1:50 scale static model of the De Havilland DH98 Mosquito Mk VI Fighter Bomber Serial No. HR405 Reg. NE-A,
with aelerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, radio mast, engine nacelles with exhaust manifolds, air intakes and three blade propellors, four 20mm cannon mounted in the nose and eight underwing mounted 60lb rockets. Cockpit details include open door revealing pilot's and navigator's seats, radio and other equipment, finished in RAF grey/cream livery and mounted on an airstrip plinth with perspex cover. Measurements overall -- 4¾ x 13¼in. (12 x 33.7cm.)

Lot Essay

DH 98 Serial No. HR405 was built by De Havilland Aircraft Ltd, Hatfield. Engines for this Mark were two Rolls Royce Merlin 25 giving 1635hp each giving a maximum speed of 380mph. In all, 7785 Mosquito aircraft were built, in 38 different versions.
