A Meissen Kakiemon teapot and a cover
Circa 1730, blue crossed swords mark and Dreher's mark of three circles for Kittel
Of globular octagonal form, the loop handle and tapering spout of octagonal section, painted with trailing flowering branches of peony and prunus, the reverse with an insect in flight, handle and spout with Kakiemon flower-sprays, the cover similarly decorated about an octagonal pointed knop finial and within a brown line rim (very minute chipping to tip of spout and slight rubbing to rim of cover)
