A Meissen Fabeltiere powdered-purple ground coffee cup and saucer
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords marks, the cup with incised s, puce 6, the saucer with puce .6
The cup with double scroll handle, the ground reserved with two shaped quatrefoil brown-line cartouches, each with a fabulous beast among flowering shrubs, trees and rockwork and with an insect in flight above, the saucer similarly decorated with a beast among flowering shrubs and trees and with an insect and scattered floral sprigs, gilt line rims (the cup with some minor rubbing to gilding and minor surface scratches, the saucer with some flaking to enamels, minor scratches and some minor wear to the gilt rim)
