A Meissen silver-gilt mounted Goldchinesen two-handled beaker and a pair of silver-gilt covers
Circa 1725, the mount and cover contemporary, the cover with stamped EA mark for Elias Adam and Augsburg town mark
With double-scroll gilt handles, gilt at Augsburg by Bartolomäus Seuter, one side with an Oriental seated beside a table holding a pipe, an attendant adjusting his hat and another figure nearby, the other with an Oriental seated under a canopy with two figures before him, on terraces with fences and trees and birds in flight above, on elaborate interlocking scroll supports, below a gilt band rim, the foot with a silver-gilt mount, the interior with a scalloped band border edged with scrolls and husks, the slightly domed silver-gilt cover moulded with scrolls and foliage (some minor rubbing to gilt rim and the handles, some very minor wear to gilt scenes) (2)
