A Böttger goldchinesen teacaddy and a cover
Circa 1725, gilder's 13. to cover
The teacaddy of inverted baluster form of hexagonal section, gilt at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop with gilt panels alternating with panels of Orientals, one with a bird on a table, another holding a bird below a tree and a couple shaking hands before a palm tree on elaborate scroll and diaper plinths, the rims and ribs richly gilt, the cover with Böttger-lustre and gilt scrollwork (chip and slight crack to footrim, restored chip to rim of cover)
