A Meissen cane-handle
Circa 1740
Modelled as Joseph Fröhlich balanced on a pale-cream and brown striped barrel in a gilt-edged pointed yellow hat, blue jacket with yellow lapels and cuffs, white ruff, purple shirt with black braces with the initials J.F., his hands clasped to his waist, with gilt-lined red trousers and black boots (chip to lapel, restoration to fingers of left hand, some restoration to brim of hat, some minor wear to enamels)
