An example of this model in the Rijksmuseum, cat. no. 232, has gold mounts for 1738-1744, giving a clear terminus ante quem for these pieces.

Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark
The sides painted with encamped soldiers by cliff-faces making a campfire and at discussion beneath trees, the sides edged with gilt scrolls and with ombriete Gitterwerk, the stopper as a carved bloodstone parakeet (the stopper with tip of tail lacking)
