A Meissen Kakiemon coffee-pot and cover
Circa 1730, blue crossed swords mark
Made for the Turkish market, of compressed globular form with a slender neck and domed cover, with pine cone finial, fluted dragon's head spout with scroll terminal and double scroll handle, painted and gilt with pomegranete, chrysanthemum, tied corn and scattered sprigs between gilt lines (horizontal crack through lower section, re-stuck, the cover with a rim chip re-stuck and overpainted, minor chip and flaking to finial)
