The first circa 1825
The first with pivoting combined pan and nipple stamped 'Patent', combined cock and hammer, and roller on the steel-spring, the inside struck 'SD' with crown above (mainspring missing, some surface pitting); the second each with engraved hammer with detachable striker, pierced platinum plug, and engraved stepped tail, the left lock converted from flintlock
