A VERY RARE DAVIS PATENT DEVOLVING PAN GUN MECHANISM, AND A PAIR OF PERCUSSION GUN MECHANISMS MADE TO TRANSPOSE WITH FLINTLOCKS
The first circa 1825
The first with pivoting combined pan and nipple stamped 'Patent', combined cock and hammer, and roller on the steel-spring, the inside struck 'SD' with crown above (mainspring missing, some surface pitting); the second each with engraved hammer with detachable striker, pierced platinum plug, and engraved stepped tail, the left lock converted from flintlock
