A VERY RARE EAST INDIA COMPANY JIGGER, WITH ASSOCIATED MUSKET LOCK
Dated 1798
The jigger of cast steel filed up, engraved with the Company's Pattern Room number '15', the Company heart mark, and the initials of the makers 'C. & F.J.', the lock engraved with the lion rampant crest and fitted with ring-neck cock (introduced in 1813), in unfired condition and probably used as a pattern piece
