A RARE 10-BORE FLINTLOCK DUCK GUN
Late 17th Century
With three-stage barrel, the breech section octagonal changing to sixteen-sided, plain tang, rounded lock originally retained by three side-nails, now reduced to two, moulded ash full stock (minor damage) with a raised panel at the barrel tang, plain iron mounts including butt-plate with long tang, five baluster iron ramrod-pipes, and wooden ramrod (in untouched condition, the iron parts with russet finish over some surface pitting, the butt with old worm-holes)
