With two-stage belled brass barrel, the breech section octagonal then polygonal and with a stepped moulding at the rear, plain iron tang, signed border engraved rounded lock, moulded artificially figured maple full stock (minor defects) with raised apron at the barrel tang, engraved brass mounts, butt-plate and trigger-guard engraved with a tulip, single brass ramrod-pipe, and horn-tipped ramrod with worm (the lock and side-plate apparently early working replacements, sling swivel removed), London proof marks, barrel-forger's mark indistinct
