AN ENGLISH BULLET CROSSBOW

With slender steel bow with later strings and bone spacers, built-in gaffle engraved with rococo decoration and retained by a catch at the rear, signed engraved folding back-sight, sprung fore-sight, flat-sided walnut gun-stock inlaid with a shaped decorative panel with further rococo engraving in front of the lock, and lightly engraved iron mounts including serial numbered butt-plate (iron parts with some light rust-staining and surface pitting)
