A FINE ENGLISH BULLET CROSSBOW

With slender steel bow with later strings and bone spacers, built-in gaffle engraved with chevrons and retained by a catch at the rear, signed folding back-sight en suite, sprung fore-sight, flat-sided rosewood gun-stock (minor bruising) inlaid with an engraved shaped silver panel in front of the lock, small slotted iron plate to protect the stock from the sear, and engraved trigger-guard (iron parts with scattered surface pitting)
