Details
Château Pape-Clément--Vintage 1961
Pessac (Graves), cru classé. Château-bottled
Two slightly corroded capsules. Slightly bin-soiled and damp-stained labels, three slightly torn. Levels: one base of neck, two top, four upper/top, four upper and one mid-shoulder
Tasting note: With some justification, claiming to be the oldest of Bordeaux major vineyards. The Pape-Clément vineyard is just ten minutes walk up the main road which divides Haut-Brion and La Mission - a superb site producing the inimitable graves taste. Fully mature. Sweet and soft for a '61. MB. (2002).
