A Ludwigsburg figure of an apple-seller
Circa 1765, blue crowned interlaced C mark, painter's mark in purple for Sausenhofer
Modelled by Jean Jacques Louis with two bags of apples on his right shoulder and a hat in his left hand, wearing a blue-lined brown jerkin over a white shirt, yellow breeches, white socks and black shoes, leaning on a rockwork pillar on a circular mound base edged with moulded gilt C-scrolls (some minute chipping to foliage and to ribbon on hat, chip to underside of base)
