The corniche case with painted porcelain dial decorated in the Sèvres style with a courting couple, with Roman chapter ring and alarm ring below, retail signature A. GOLAY-LERENCHE & FILS GENÈVE/2 Rue de la Paix PARIS, later moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to a lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong (lacking) to the back plate numbered 148 -- 4¾in. (12.25cm.) high to hilt of handle
