A French silver and brass-mounted small novelty timepiece in the form of a lighthouse, circa 1880
The domed top with duplex variant escapement, the balance wheel in the form of glass rods simulating lighthouse lights, the tapering column engraved with simulated brickwork, with brass gallery below and conforming square plinth, the glazed white enamel Roman dial with blued steel spade hands, single barrel movement -- 9½in. (24cm.) high
