A French gilt-brass and champlevé enamel striking mantel clock, circa 1890
Of cylindrical form, the case decorated with bands of polychrome enamel and with conforming openwork foliate mounts, raised on toupie feet, the dial with enamel bezel and centre, with Roman chapter ring painted with floral swags, gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on gong, stamped on the back plate for VINCENTI, with conforming decoration to the twin jar mercury pendulum -- 12¼in. (31cm.) high
