The case with Atlas and angel finials to a horned arch cresting, reverse painted glass panel depicting windmills to the cornice, further reverse painted glass panels to the sides, inset turned columns, the 'tail' of typical form with brass-covered lenticle, the painted iron dial with silvered arcaded chapter ring, inner concentric calendar ring, the centre painted with female figures, brass hands and alarm-setting disc, with painted rolling moon to the arch, the five baluster pillar movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, with alarm on gong -- 71¼in.
