The shallow-arched case with fluted mouldings to the top, bevelled glass side panels above part bombé sides terminating in carved oak leaf and acorn mouldings to the front, chamfered front angles, on bun feet, the silvered Roman dial with strike/silent lever above XII, signed Marriott Islington, blued steel moon hands, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and rectangular plates, strike on gong, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate -- 16½in. (42.5cm.) high
