The hood with swan-neck cresting and outset double-baluster columns, short 'onion' top trunk door with bone escutcheon, on plain plinth, the 13in. wide white dial painted with floral spandrels and with a figure playing the harp to the arch, with subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre, signed C. Schnell Leeds, pinned directly to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, with built up seatboard -- 97in. (246.5cm.) high
