CARPET AND BRICKS FROM LOEW'S GRAND THEATRE IN ATLANTA
A piece of patterned carpet and two bricks that were salvaged from Loew's Grand Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia -- the site of the celebrated "GWTW" world premiere on December 15, 1939. Sadly, this theatre was demolished due to a fire in 1978 (after being in existence since 1893) and these items were sold as mementos. A photograph showing attendees walking on the carpet at the "GWTW" premiere and metal placards affixed to the bricks indicate their history. Also included are three other items related to the theatre and its "GWTW" connection including a signed and numbered print, a reproduced advertisement and a small wooden decoration.
Various Sizes
Please note the carpet is cut in an odd shape and is somewhat stained due to fire damage. (3)
