A black silk vest made for Clark Gable though not seen in the final version of the film as Selznick likely decided to change it for another. Two Western Costume Company stamps appear in the inside lining as does a designer label reading Designed & Tailored by Oviatt's Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Mr. Clark Gable 4463 C.G. 2/28/39 -- the date clearly indicating that "GWTW" was in production.
