A Shadow Box Of A British Clipper Ship

A sailor made shadow box depicting a British clipper ship sailing outward bound past a lighthouse on a point of land. The hull of the model is built up from the solid and painted black. The ship has a full suit of sails modeled in half form from wood. The model is set in a carved wood sea with a painted background which depicts a point of land and other shipping passing in the background. In the foreground are two other smaller ship models, one of a pilot boat and the other of a single masted lugger. The shadow box is framed with a simple black frame with a gold liner and old glass.
