A very fine small scale boxwood model built up from the solid with pink polychrome topsides, a black waist and a green polychrome bottom. The deck of the model is of veneer and has the deck planking drawn in India ink. The deck of the model is fitted with many details including: anchors, cleats, deck rings, capstan, pin and fife rails, stove pipe, belfry, companionway, skylights, and a double ship's wheel. At the bow of the model is a carved and polychromed figurehead of a woman in a delicatly painted long flowing dress. Amidships, the model has two long boats swung out over each side hanging from the yards. On the aft starboard side is a gig which is hung as if in the water alonside the ship. At the stern are decorated and polychromed quarter galleries, and transom. The model is rigged with with three boxwood masts, standing and running rigging, some turning blocks and other rigging details. The model is fitted with several flags, a union jack at the bow, a Saint George's Cross on the mizzen mast and a red duster at the stern. The model is displayed on a veneered base with a bone border in the original marquetry box with mirrors at the back and on either end, with a glass front that drops down.
