Lot Essay

Cf. Jacobs, J. et al., The Nagas Hill Peoples of Northeast India, London, 1990. According to the authors (p.262) the ornaments with fluted ends were made in Manipur. On page 264 they illustrate ornaments with conical bosses from the Naga stating that such heirlooms were highly valued and were often repaired many times.
