A SET OF THREE REGENCY GILTWOOD PELMETS
Each with an ogee moulded cornice above a concave frieze filled with a spirally-turned and ribbon-entwined rod, probably previously with a central ornament, with indistinct chalk inscriptions on the reverse, one inscribed in pencil 'left hand .... Room'
One 71 in. (180.5 cm.) wide, one 70¼ in. (178.5 cm.) wide, one 70½ in. (179 cm.) wide; 6 in. (15 cm.) high; 9 in. (23 cm.) deep (3)
Provenance
Almost certainly supplied to Sir Rowland Winn, 6th Bt. (1775-1805), Nostell Priory, Yorkshire, and by descent.

Lot Essay
The pelmets, now lacking the beribboned cables' central trophies, are likley to have been introduced to Nostell Priory, Yorkshire around 1800 by Sir Rowland Winn, 6th Bt. (1775-1805).
