entitled 'Dreaming' painted with a Pre-Raphaelite maiden, the rim with radiating Classical urn frieze impressed factory marks, painted signature (hairline to rim)

Lot Essay

George Woolliscroft Rhead was a member of the Rhead family famously associated with the pottery industry. He worked at the Lambeth studio decorating Faiemce ware between 1879 and circa 1881 before leaving to teach at art schools.
