At Christie's The Great Classics of Jean-Pirre Moueix tasting, May 2002. A glistening clean red, full, now starting to mature; dark concentrated plums on the nose; warm tobacco flavours with strong fully ripe currants; beautiful balance and acidity. A really exquisite wine, Pomerol at it's best. It's not cheap, but wow what a wine. Has that beautiful velvet feel that the top '82's have, right or left bank. DW
