Distinctly not deep in colour, and the most mature looking of the '76 DRCs when presented to the trade in March 1980. But a good expansive flavour. A certain thickness of colour, and richess noted in 1982. the nose, originally rather dumb, had evolved gloriously, sweet, beautiful by any standards; sweet on the palate too. A marvellous mouthful, well endowed with alcohol, tannin and acidity. Should be magnificent. GVWBII
