Volumes I & II only (of 4) in one, 4° (265 x 193mm.), titles in red and black with engraved vignettes, titles and text in English and French, 239 engraved plates only (a few short marginal tears, a few plates with lower margins cropped, occasional light spotting), contemporary calf, spine in compartments with labels (rubbed, joints and spine splitting), armorial bookplate and library stamp of Max Salomon on inner upper cover. Colas 2507: " Cet ouvrage est très rerement complet des quatre volumes; les deux premiers sont les plus communs".
