Muromachi Period (early 15th century)
Of asssembled wood, rectangular with overhanging cover, the edges of the lid and sides of the box black lacquer and the red lacquer worn in places revealing the underlayer of black lacquer, the interior black lacquer, metal cord fittings in the form of a chevron-shaped floret and movable ring
