Muromachi-Momoyama Period (16th century)
Of turned and assembled wood, with black-lacquered cup support with rounded sides above a flat tray with upright rim and with raised and splayed black-lacquered foot, the red lacquer surface worn in places revealing the black-lacquer underlayer
