Taisho period (20th century), with engraved inscription O Yoshukan ju kokuho botan tsukuri katana mozo kore (Presented to Yoshukan: a copy of a designated National Treasure peony-design sword), and dated Taisho juichinen rokugatsu (1922.6) with signature Katsura Mitsuharu saku
The silver sheath engraved in the area around the kurikata (cord mount) with flowering peonies, the tsuka (handle), the area around the koiguchi (entrance of the scabbard) and the kojiri (scabbard tip) applied with gilt-silver fittings cast in high relief with peony blossoms, the ground decorated with a nanako diaper pattern; kurikata, kozuka and kogai decorated en suite

After lengthy study under Toyokawa Mitsunaga II, Mitsuharu opened his own metalwork studio in Tokyo's Asakusa district in 1882 where he trained many apprentices. He died in 1962 at the age of 93.
