Late 18th century
The stepped rectangular top with four panelled finials previously holding a gallery, above a frieze drawer inlaid with fruitwood lines simulating two short drawers, the hinged fall-front inlaid with ebonised and fruitwood lines simulating a pair of doors with oval panels within spandrels, the reverse with a green baize-lined writing-surface, enclosing a fitted interior with two shelves above a pigeon-hole flanked by four drawers, above a pair of conformingly decorated doors enclosing a plain interior with one shelf, on waisted square tapering legs and brass toupie feet, some minor losses to the veneers
